Situated between Haenertsburg and Tzaneen, hidden amongst the pine plantations in the beautiful mountainous area of Magoebaskloof this picturesque farm on a privately-owned estate boasts horses, a magnificent dam stocked with trout as well as 2 Luxury self catering units, The Stables and The Loft. The Stables is a luxury, double-storey self catering guest house which is intimately positioned between the horse stables and paddock. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and comfortably sleeps 4 persons. It is not suitable for children under the age of 6. The Stables has a cosy country atmosphere which has been created using a combination of warm textured fabrics and personally collected antiques, some with a history from the area. The Loft is an exclusive romantic hideaway, perfect for honeymooners or those celebrating an anniversary or special occasion. It is a luxuriously appointed suite hidden in the pine forest overlooking the dam. Please note that children cannot be accommodated in this unit. Close by: 65km from Polokwane, 35km from Tzaneen, 8km from Haenertsburg, 2km from Stanford Lake College. To do in the area: The Magoebaskloof canopy tour, Magoebaskloof Adventures offer various adventure activities, Birding at Kurisa Moya, Wegraakbosch organic cheese farm, Ebenezer Dam cruises to mention only a few. (Sleeps from 28 - 33 guests). There are 8 self catering accommodation options, including 2-sleeper, 4-sleeper and 6-sleeper self catering cottages. Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property and at an owned property on the Letaba River. Fishing can also be arranged in the waters of the local Trout Fishing Association. Forest, riverside and garden walks can be undertaken from the property and hiking, mountain bike, horse and 4x4 trails are in close proximity. Our property on the Letaba River provides both adventure seekers and nature lovers with a host of outdoor activities. There is quad biking, white water tubing, kloofing (canyoning), abseiling, mountain biking, birding, hiking, fishing and paintball. There is a campsite for those who would like to be on site. Our self catering accommodation is simply beautiful and in some of the accommodation we have chosen not to have electricity. Instead we believe that the simplicity of candle light and lamps, steaming hot water from a donkey boiler and a 'lekka' fire make for romance, talking, dreaming and togetherness. For those of you who need electricity, our newly renovated Farm House and Barn House are connected. We are very privileged to live on this little piece of Africa and would like to share with you a slower pace of life.
