We are situated approximately 5km up from the Barrage on the widest part of the river. This self catering cottage has two beautifully decorated bedrooms en suite, fully equipped kitchenette and outside fully enclosed patio containing the lounge and dining area, a Weber is available for braaing. Each room has amazing views of the Vaal River. The cottage is approximately 80m from the water's edge and you will have use of our own private island. Ideally suited for boating enthusiasts, those who love to fish and nature lovers who love bird watching. There are resident owls that land on the lawn area regularly as well as the beautiful sound of fish eagles. We have launching on site for boats or jet ski's. Should you wish to visit historical Parys and browse through different shops from antiques, art, knick-knacks and wonderful coffee shops, this will take a 35 minute drive into town. Approximately 10kms from the cottage is the Vaal Mall which has all the shops you will find at most malls. All you require to bring is your food and drinks, umbrellas, deck chairs, hats, swimming towels, sun tan lotion, mosquito repellent, and sports equipment for a great self catering weekend on the Vaal River. Located at Lochvaal near Vanderbijlpark in southern Gauteng, this self catering cottage with uninterrupted views of the Vaal River across manicured lawns is the ideal spot for fishing or launching your boat.

Light airy cottage at the end of this private garden right on the Vaal River's edge. 1x King size bed in a studio style, so open to the lounge, kitchen and beautiful uninterrupted Vaal River views. 1x Queen size bed in a private bedroom. 1x compact Bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Bath towels provided. These cottages are situated in the garden of a private residence, so it is a great place for boating, fishing, or just to relax and soak in the surroundings for your visit. Boat launching for both units is available, but should be specified and arranged when booking to avoid disappointment. If you wish to swim in the Vaal River, please bring own swimming towels. Welcome to HeathBridge River Lodge, situated in Loch Vaal with river views from the property stretching across the Loch. We have 2 self-catering cottages on a private home.
