Seaside Cottage offers beachfront self catering accommodation in Wilderness, Garden Route. Our self catering accommodation is situated right on the beach in Wilderness, with breathtaking views of breaking waves. Let the sounds of the sea lull you to sleep. Good surfing and water sports are all available in the Wilderness. Hiking trails and game reserves are also very close. Our self catering accommodation consists of a double story wooden Cottage set on the shoreline of the mystical Wilderness and can sleep five. The cottage has its own private entry with electronic gate as well as shaded undercover parking. There is a high wall that surrounds the property making it safe for children. The ground floor has an open plan kitchen and lounge which is fully set up with all the utensils one would need for a wonderful self catering stay. Upstairs are two bedrooms. An en-suite with double bed and shower, basin and toilet. (cot available on request) Sliding doors go off the room onto a wooden balcony. The second room has a three quarter bed and a double bed. The bathroom offers a full bath, basin, toilet and shower. Throughout the year there are many activities in Wilderness one can pursue. With the site being very central to a host of activities. Paragliding one can land on the sand in front of the cottage after launching from a world renown spot, The Map of Africa, which is from the hill behind the cottage. Kitesurfing ,surfing and fishing are literally 10 metres away and you are on the beach. During the whaling season whales frequent the seas around the Wilderness area and can often be found just off the beach in front of the cottage.

Fancourt golf course is merely 17km away and many others golf courses are in the vicinity. George airport is only 15km from Wilderness. Good surfing and water sports are all available in the Wilderness. Hiking trails and game reserves are also very close. There are a number of restaurants in the Wilderness village all within walking distance, as well as a garage and cafe for all your self catering requirements. The Garden Route Mall is a short 5 minute drive away from Wilderness.

The self catering accommodation consists of: 3 bedroom log cabin is fully equipped for a comfortable, peaceful stay. Rooms are equipped with bedding and towels. The main bedroom is upstairs and furnished with a queen size bed. It has a separate dressing room/study area with en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and hand wash basin. From the bed you have a beautiful view over the river and mountains. Oakhurst Farm Cottages offers self catering cottage accommodation in Wilderness, Garden Route. We have a selection of 9 self catering units. The Forge: A combination of wow factor, rustic country elegance and romantic charm, has made The Forge at Oakhurst a top retreat for anyone looking for a little peace and quiet. This 150 year old stone cottage was one of the first building to be built at Oakhurst and today is the main bedroom, with thick stone walls and exposed timber beams. The living area wraps around the cottage and is made up of a dining area, equipped kitchen with gas stove and cosy lounge area. The entire side of the building can be opened up, by way of canvas roller blinds to maximise the spectacular Wilderness forest views from here. Sleeps two in a double bed, with two extra kiddies beds on a mezzanine in the loft. A central log fireplace takes the chill away during the Wilderness winters. The open-air shower and bathroom offer the same breathtaking views onto the forest fringe. Our Farm Cottages have been a part of Oakhurst for the past 30 years. Kween's Kaya, Awies Attic, Lenies Lair, Hans's Hollow and Nick's Nook are set along the edge of a section of forest, intersected with a gurgling stream that flows during the rainy periods. Each cottage is privately positioned and fully set up for self-catering, with a well equipped kitchen and cosy living area with wooden floors. The living area in turn opens out onto a large wooden deck and braai area. The Schoolyard: The long school building houses three of these units, namely Landon's Loft, Holly's Hangout and Anna's Apartment. Oakhurst is a great place for the family, where children can play and parents can relax.
