Red Mountain House offers a chouce of bed and beakfast or self catering accommodation in the heart of the beautiful village of Clarens. Built in a neo-Colonial style, the Red Mountain House complex was opened in June 2003. Enjoy an in-house shopping experience at 'Something Else' where a wide range of African curios, gifts, crafts and local art are on sale.

Accommodation is on the first floor of the complex, each room adjoins a balcony, the ideal place to sit and admire the views of the surrounding mountains or village square while enjoying a sundowner. Our accommodation consists of 6 luxury double rooms furnished with turn of the century antiques, four-poster beds, fine percale linen and Persian carpets. Each room has a sitting area with an open fireplace and comfortable Morris chairs, where complimentary drinks and chocolates await your arrival. Fully tiled bathrooms are en-suite with a shower, bath and wall heater. For your comfort, under-tile heating takes the chill from cold winter nights while ceiling fans cool those balmy summer evenings.
