Terms and Conditions
  • All Rates are quoted in South African Rands and include VAT
  • All rates are based on Room Only/Self Catering.
  • During Xmas and Easter Holidays and Festivals a minimum stay of 3 nights is required.
  • Pets are welcome, if quiet, well behaved and under control. A Damage Deposit may be required.
Cancellation:
  •  If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, 50% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
    If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price (100%) of the reservation will be charged.
Deposit:
  • A 50% deposit of the total balance is required to secure all bookings.
  • If date of arrival is less than 5 days from booking date, the full amount (100%) of the total balance will be required as a deposit.
  • Please note for security reasons, the credit card holder must make present, the credit card used for
  • All bookings are regarded as provisional until the required deposit has been received.
  • Any provisional/unsecured booking will be held for 5 days, after which, the booking will be cancelled if payment has not been received.
Check in time: Between 2pm and 8pm. After this, a late check in fee may apply.
Check out time: Chalets should be vacated by 10.30 on the day of departure, but guests are welcome to leave luggage at reception for (part of) the day.

Inyathi's fully equipped self catering chalets are situated in our highly convenient new location of 38 Trotter Street, Knysna. Extremely central, but down a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle, just two streets (450m) from the Waterfront, Featherbed's and metres from Gray Street, Woodmill Lane and all the supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants around.

Our new location is also only a 2 minute walk to the Lagoon, Thesen Island shops and restaurants, Mitchell's Brewery and the Knysna High School Fields.

Our Chalets follow the uniquely Inyathi African theme with bright materials, wooden masks & statues, pictures, reed baskets and bowls, beads and wall hangings in every room, and there is plenty of privacy to help unwind, relax and enjoy everything Knysna has to offer. The completely self-contained chalets are a home away from home with everything required for a one night stop over or an entire family annual vacation. All the chalets are child and pet friendly, and are situated at ground level so easily accessible for the elderly or people with mobility difficulties etc.

There are 4 x One Bedroom Chalets (with a double bed), and 3 x Two Bedroom Chalets (with one bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds) ideal for families or friends travelling together.

All our recently renovated Chalets, offer separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/diner with lounge area. The kitchens are fully equipped with fridge/freezer, wash up area, hot plates/stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. All linen and towels are provided (and beach towels are available on request) and the chalets are serviced daily. Along with free WIFI, toiletries and tea & coffee, there is also a TV, hairdryer, oil heater and overhead fans. Each chalet has dedicated off-street parking, a private entrance and a walled in garden with outdoor seating/dining area and of course a braai.

From the moment you enter Inyathi, you will be met with enthusiastic, helpful staff, beautiful clean surroundings, a relaxed atmosphere and unique vibrant decor.

Inyathi is an ideal spot for a romantic break or honeymoon, the highlight of a leisurely drive along the Garden Route or an all-expenses paid business trip.
