Hornbill Private Lodge is a discreet private self catering lodge situated within the 12,500 hectare big 5 game Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. The lodge caters for families and is situated 26 kilometers from Bela Bela (Warm baths).
Facilities
The eight (8) sleeper lodge has three bedrooms and three bathrooms two of which are en-suite. The main upstairs bedroom has a game viewing deck and separate dressing room.
The down stairs bedroom has two single beds and generous built in cupboards and an en-suite bathroom (Shower and toilet). This bedroom has a separate door leading to the garden and a small patio.
The third family bedroom is fitted with four single beds. The bedroom opens onto a breakfast lapa. This lapa serves as a peaceful conversation area, reading area and bird viewing site. This bedroom is serviced by a separate guest toilet and shower.
The lodge is fully fitted and has an open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen and pantry, with full DSTV.
There are two further lapas surrounded by bush and free roaming game. One lapa serves as a large outdoor kitchen and dining room. The other lapa is a fitted bush pub/coffee bar. There are two outdoor braais and a boma adjacent to the bush-pub.
There is covered parking for three vehicles. Hornbill Private Lodge is owner managed. The lodge is 80 meters from both a heated and a cold pool and kiddies play area.
