Fernwood Manor is an elegant colonial style guest house in the leafy suburb of Newlands, Cape Town, surrounded by lush greenery with wonderful mountain views. Our exclusive guest house, catering for no more than 16 guests, ensures warm friendly personal service in gracious and elegant surroundings.

All with their own unique character, we offer exquisitely decorated air-conditioned rooms, king or twin bedded on request, most with balcony or garden patio. These superior luxury rooms with finely appointed bathrooms are complemented by two executive suites, The Almond and The Rose. French Provincial Breakfast room - this elegant furnished French kitchen and breakfast room renowned for its wonderful breakfasts overlooks the swimming pool and landscaped garden abundant with bird life. On lovely summer mornings breakfast is also served on the covered patio adjoining the breakfast room.

Guest lounge - the large comfortably appointed guest lounge with its cosy fire place leads to an outdoor covered patio overlooking the large swimming pool area. For a more intimate occasion visit our Formal Lounge and Bar situated on the opposite side of the manor house.

Study/library - this work as our reception and work station for the guests filled with many good books and magazines. Boardroom available for board meetings, small conference facilities and private dining.

Superior Luxury is revealed at every turn of our spacious bedrooms with their own unique rich classic contemporary warm character. The individually designed and decorated rooms are sun-drenched sanctuaries, most with private balcony or covered patios overlooking the pool, garden with wonderful mountain views. The Boutique Guest House luxurious rooms boast beautifully equipped full heated en suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, and heated towel rails and all the necessary complimentary toiletries. King or Twin beds dressed in pecale linen, fans, underfloor heating, satellite TV, fully stocked bar fridge, safe, ADSL internet access and telephones.

Manor House - Four superior luxury en-suite aircondioned bedrooms, of which two have private balconies. Two of these bedrooms are situated in their own private wing and work very well as a Family Wing.

'The Almond Suite'- This extra large executive suite, dressing room en-suite. The french doors reveal an extensive private verandah with wonderful mountain views.

Garden/Pool Rooms - Three Superior Luxury en-suite bedrooms open onto covered patio overlooking swimming pool/landscaped gardens with outstanding mountain views and private entrance.

'The Rose Suite' - New addition to Fernwood Manor, own private entrance takes you into the most elegantly decorated private suite which opens onto it's own landscaped garden and patio to relax on. Dressing room leads you into large French bathroom with his and her French vanity, double large walk in glass shower and corner spa bath. Ideal for the honeymooner or long stays.
