The Obiekwa Cottage - R600-00 per cottage per night. This cottage is identical to the Witzenberg except it has 2 three quarter beds in the bedroom. (sleeps 2) |
The Winterhoek Cottage - R900-00 per cottage per night. It is a two bedroomed cottage with double bed in the en-suite bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms, a lounge with indoor fire place/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 extra beds in the lounge (sleeps 6) |

Accommodation
On offer at this neat working farm with wheat, vines, olives, sheep and cattle are 3 luxury self-catering cottages all fronted by an open vista of green fields merging into blue mountains - an appealing contrast of the soft and rugged.
The cottages are light and airy, fully equipped and decorated in natural hues and textures. Wide windows and double doors drench the interior in light, terracotta floors inject the rustic country edge, offset by warm sisal mats, natural cream curtains, crisp white linen and thick feather down duvets.
All have indoor fireplaces, making for cozy winters in a corner of the world where snow on the nearby mountains isn't uncommon. On the other hand, if you're dropping in during the summer months you'll be thrilled to know the units have air-con and overhead fans, as well as easy access to a swimming pool (with lapa).
A visit to the well-known Church Street is highly recommended, this historic street has more heritage monuments in one street than anywhere else in South Africa. Tulbagh also offers excellent restaurants, olive estates, museums, arts & craft shops and numerous wine cellars. For the more adventurous, there are 4x4 routes, horse riding, MTB and hiking trails.
